25 Sep Woman of the Week
Every Woman Who Has Survived the Pain of Divorce…..
This week I want to reach out to ALL those women who have survived the pain, shame, humiliation and betrayal that comes with the act of Divorce. I believe there are many who have experienced this horrific unexpected and unwanted display of selfishness. Women who have felt that their lives will never be the same again, because they gave everything and feel they ended up with nothing. Women who saw their hopes and dreams come crashing down because their significant other is either going through a mid-life crisis, having an affair, just stopped caring or feels the need to satisfy the ridiculous.
The key to turning this evil into good is to understand that we have the power to forgive and let go. Having experienced this evil twice, I am here to tell you, we don’t have to give them another 5, 10 or 15 years of our lives by hating them, or give them the power to turn us into angry embittered women. An act of kindness goes a long way and covers a multitude of sins. The power to let go and let God do a work within us is much more powerful then fighting them on every issue. God showed me that I needed to “Learn how to Laugh Again.” Today I stand as a woman who would do it all over again, even knowing what I know about his betrayal and lies because the 4 beautiful children I have from the failed marriage is witness to me that my life’s journey with my husband was worth it for them.
Starting all over again can be very scary at first, but for me, finding myself for the first time has been worth it ALL! I love me and it took 20 years for me to finally be able to speak this truth. I am finally FREE from the fear of rejection, loneliness, and sadness, which I experienced in my loveless marriage. The power of forgiveness can and will set your life FREE! if you are ready to be FREE or you know someone who needs to be FREE! then pass this along to another woman who needs our help and let them know, divorce sucks but it doesn’t have to! If you need to speak to someone call our confidential hotline at 1 (866) Time 2 Speak.
